I have been looking at doing this to my 07 LLBean it already has a 5 speed automatic. save hide report. There have been several 4EAT->6MT swaps on here...one that comes to mind is Infek, message him and ask what he needed, etc.

Posted by 3 days ago. In 2006 and 2007 the 6MT came with a final drive of 3.545 which made the 2006 and 2007 much sought after for the non-STi WRX owners as a transmission swap. What's required to either keep it working or bypass it.
This is due to the R160 rear differential 3.545 final drive of most of the non-STi WRXs. Therefore, if I were to make the Outback my project car, I would want to start with a 4EAT to 5MT or 6MT swap. 210. I am starting to research this swap. I think it would be possible, I met a guy who swapped a 5mt into a svx and i feel like if you put in some time and $ it could be a awesome car. I did a little reading here as well when I searched. Please post any updates of anything you find. Just working on a blue shift boot to match my STi seats. But all of those threads only cover trans swaps in cars with EJ2xx's.
