Ultimately it will come down to what you want to spend and how long each tire lasts. I'm thinking about the GO15 in 225/65/17 size. Wet traction is likely sufficient for daily use, and winter traction is good. I run the Yokohama Geolander G015 AT-S 225/55/18.

I've only drove them for 30 miles and Im happy with the choice I made. Sparco Terra is only available in +50 offset. Might just play it safe and go with the Yoko Geolander A/T-S. I don't need chains with these tires on. One question though in regards to the spare.
Will show pictures tomorrow morning. Testing Yokohama’s Newest All-Terrain Tire, the G015. A full size spare would be strongly advised since the diameter will be greater than stock. The yokohama would be the mildest option, have excellent road manners, excellent on road traction,wet traction,better mpg, less noise.. also severe service (winter) rated.
I decided to go with 225/65/17 on my stock wheels. Been able to get them in a lot of environments in CO. Only had them for about 450 miles though.

The at/s is just the perfect combo--It's a quiet 5 rib highway Tire on a daily basis in SETX, but it's absolutely super glue on snow & ice in Colorado plus has plenty of depth in the tread to carry a fully loaded midsize thru sand & mud down in Galveston.
You will NOT be disappointed.

Yokohama are Japanese owned and don't know where they're made. The steering is satisfactory, though a little vague, with slightly delayed response to inputs, and while the ride is supple, it suffers from some excessive secondary motion after impacts.
When I bout my element it had cooper Discoverer LSXs on it in the stock 215/70. Looking at Geolander ATS 225/60/17 from Yokohama Or Cooper Discoverer A/T3 in … I am looking to install a set of tires/wheels on my 2016 Forester for a trip onto BLM land in WY this fall. Re: Cooper Discoverer vs. Yokohama Geolander A few years back I got fed up with the poor traction of the old, hard and worn out tires I had on my 1994 3/4 ton 4x4 Chevy so I went hunting for a nice new set of tires and specifically asked for ones that would give me the best traction on ice and hard packed snow. Cooper Discoverer AT/3 or Yokohama Geolandar ATS? I am a fan of the cooper discoverer AT3 also. I have noticed that as they wore down the road noise has increased, but not a big deal. Maybe less than 1 mpg lower @ 70mpg but more of a loss above that.

Just my opinion. Both have 50k mile warranty. I'm hoping someone here can give me some info on how the Geo's perform, since I know how the Coopers do. I run the 225/65R17 Geolander G015's on my 2015 FXT.
What is the maximum diameter difference allowed between the regular tire and the spare? There are a lot of guys running the Coopers with no rubbing. Particularly impressive is that both of the light truck tires come with that 60,000 mile warranty. Hm, looks like I made a mistake. Drive out prices are within $10 of each other. I do know Geolander makes a good tire too. Not a deal breaker but like to buy USA when feasible. But I have been running the Cooper AT3's 235/60/17 for about 50,000 and have been pretty pleased. Last year the Geolanders did great in the snow.
They're noisy and wear oddly (given they're flexy according to the tire tech I spoke to) but here in Ottawa, Canada I leave them on all year round and they give decent traction even in the snow. With that said, I wouldn't be surprised if the aforementioned tires have superior dry offroad capability, I chose the G015's because of fuel economy, and the "mountain snowflake symbol" I love to SKI!!!!!
2013 Outback and need a tire with a little more tread than stock. Dude, just get the Coopers. Cooper is American owned and made in USA. I run them on FRS rims that are exact oem spec but lighter. No experience with the AT3 but looked at them. I went all terrain because I wanted a good all year tire. I priced them a while back locally and there wasn't a big price difference. I'm in the same boat but at the moment I'm leaning towards the Cooper. The Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S feels like a traditional truck tire in many ways. I've had Falken Bridgestone firestone bfg pathfinder etc but I'm a Yokohama guy these days. Cooper’s venerable AT3 is another go-anywhere tire backed with a 60,000 mile treadwear warranty, as are two of the new additions to the lineup, the LT and XLT.

I should hopefully be picking up my 2016 Forester 2.5i Touring 6spd in the next couple weeks and my first order of business is getting some better tires. Living in ND we get a crap ton of snow. I've got the Geolander ATS's on mine. I can say that I have little to no change in MPG.
Yokohama makes very good tires.
From what I've read they should fit, besides, I have a 1" lift on the front. Here are the diameters of what I'm looking at: What is your motivation for buying an all terrain tire in the first place? If I had to throw the spare on with the Coopers would that be an issue because of diameters and how all the tires have to be within a certain tolerance? I ran their ATs on my truck and they were awesome, have their performance all-seasons on the wifes bugeye after using two sets on my SG Foz.
